2005 Ethics and Health Monitoring report - Health Council of the Netherlands (Gezondheidsraad)

This third annual report of the Centre for Ethics and Health of the Netherlands (Dutch abbreviation CEG) contains ‘alerts’ on six topics relating to trends in the field of public health that are of importance for the government’s policy agenda from an ethical standpoint. The first three sections were prepared by the Gezondheidsraad (Health Council of the Netherlands) and the last two by the Raad voor de Volksgezondheid en Zorg (Council for Public Health and Health Care; Dutch abbreviation RVZ). The fourth section, on screening in GP practice, was prepared jointly by both the above-mentioned councils, which work together under the aegis of the CEG. A brief summary of all six sections is given below.
