The health risks of Bisphenol A analogues
The Health Council of the Netherlands issued an advisory letter on the health risks of so-called Bisphenol A (BPA) analogues. The advisory letter was issued simultaneously with an advisory report addressing the risks of prenatal exposure to substances. BPA analogues are compounds chemically related to BPA. Some believe them to be less harmful than BPA itself. The Health Council considers knowledge on the potential harmfulness of BPA analogs limited en replacement of BPA with analogs currently unadvisable.
