5-Nitroacenaphthene

Inhalation exposure 5-nitroacenaphthene at the workplace may cause cancer. A concentration of 1.5 mg 5-nitroacenaphthene per cubic meter of air (m3) for 40 years of occupational exposure corresponds to an excess cancer mortality of 4 per 1,000 employees. Similarly, a concentration of 0.015 mg/m3 corresponds to an excess cancer mortality of 4 per 100,000 employees. This is written in an advisory report of the Health Council, which today is presented to the Minister of Social Affairs and Employment.
