Flour dust from processed, de-hulled soybeans
Inhalation of soybean flour dust may lead to allergic respiratory complaints. This is of importance for workers in bakeries and flour producing mills, where it is used as an ingredient to bread, cookies, pastry and ready-to-use flour products. Also employees in the animal food industry can be exposed to flour dust from these processed and de-hulled soybeans. This is written in an advisory report of the Health Council of the Netherlands, which today is presented to the Minister of Social Affairs and Employment.
