Population Screening Act: Renewal of nationwide cervical cancer screening programme

The Health Council’s Committee on Population Screening advises the Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport to grant a licence to the collective screening organizations for renewal of the nationwide cervical screening programme. As to the monitoring and evaluation it recommends to give special attention to the programme sensitivity, the prevalence of hr-HPV-positive women in the various age groups (particularly the group 30- to 35-years-olds), and the participation rate and health gain, also in the high-risk groups that are eligible for the self-sampling kit.
