Cadmium can affect reproductive health

The Health Council of the Netherlands recommends to classify cadmium as a substance which is a presumed reproductive toxicant. Occupational exposure to cadmium could lead to effects on male and female fertility and developmental effects of the offspring. The Health Council also recommends to classify cadmium for effects on or via lactation.
