The Health Council of the Netherlands recommends that BioNTech/Pfizer’s vaccine against COVID-19 should primarily be administered to the elderly. The vaccine’s efficacy in this group – which is experiencing the most severe morbidity and mortality from COVID-19 – exceeds all expectations.
