Health-based occupational exposure limit for carbon monoxide

Occupational exposure to carbon monoxide can cause adverse health effects. The Health Council contributes to the protection of workers by recommending a health-based occupational exposure limit for occupational exposure to hazardous substances. This is an exposure level at which no negative adverse health effects are to be expected. Based on scientific studies, the council recommends a health-based occupational exposure limit that is lower than the current legally binding occupational exposure limit.
