Better mapping of hearing loss in children and adolescents
The Health Council recommends better mapping of noise-induced hearing loss in children between the ages of 5 and 18 years. This is an important health problem because it is irreversible and can have much impact on the lives of children and adolescents. However, there are also uncertainties, for example about the exact scope and the development of hearing loss in that age group. This is stated in an advisory report that the Health Council sent to the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
